Street Fishing Poland events are always well organized, well attended and full of impressive prizes (which we have a hand in) :)
Was the Poznań event any different? You could say that everything was as smooth as usual when it came to organization. The atmosphere was different, though, as lots of us already knew each other from the first two meets, so we were much less nervous.
The Warta river was kind to contestants - there were 200 participants and 200 fish weighed in, but we know for a fact there were countless perch too small to count. Someone also caught a 110cm catfish - a first in the history of this competition. It was done using a Blocks Bait Dealer rod and it’s conqueror won first place and had the biggest fish of the competition. You could say he’s “our man”!
We’ll also remember the 80cm pike caught with a 6g perch rod - we saw the haul and we have to admit that it took a lot of skill and patience to get it out.
As always, there was a text message contest with great prizes.
There was also a target throwing competition, which no one won. It would have gone differently if the author of this article had been able to participate. Unfortunately, due to formalities, his throw couldn’t be counted. Still, no one can take away the satisfaction :).
I could write a lot more about the competition in Poznań but instead of reading long articles you should all sign up for the next Street Fishing Poland event, which will take place in Szczecin on October 27th.
See you there!
